About Ritu
I am Dr. Ritu, a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor and Family Psychologist based in the serene locale of Goa. I specialize in providing support to individuals with various psychological needs.
My core focus lies in assisting couples and individuals as they navigate through relationship challenges, which encompass issues within marriages, premarital concerns, and the complexities of breakups. My expertise also extends to addressing behavioral concerns, managing anxiety and depression, and providing guidance on matters related to identity and LGBTQIA experiences.
I take pride in my approach, which is centered on promoting self-awareness among my clients. I achieve this through the application of mindfulness techniques, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and the principles of positive psychology. Additionally, I incorporate Yoga and pranayama (meditation) to facilitate a harmonious connection between the body and mind, fostering holistic well-being.
In my role as a counsellor, my primary objective is to identify and understand the unique challenges you face and empower you to make informed decisions independently. I maintain unwavering integrity in all my interactions with clients, upholding the strictest standards of confidentiality when necessary.
My qualifications include Certification in Life Skills, a Diploma in Counselling Skills, and proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also a certified Yoga instructor. My experience spans across various organizations, including my work with a Cricket Academy, a school, and my role as a counsellor at ECHS, Airforce Station in Bangalore.
